So as hair replacement professionals we've spent many years
sewing, gluing, suturing, adhering, clipping and spraying
hair on to men and women who are losing their hair. All
in search of the same thing, to replace hair. I am a certified
permanent cosmetic technician and licensed cosmetologist
who decided to use her artistic abilities and 18 years of
experience to add an exciting new technique to our ever
evolving industry.
Paramedical Dermagraphic Hairstrokes (PDH), (try
to say that 3 times with a mouth full of peanut butter!),
are a wonderful new procedure that actually happened upon
me one day.
I was doing a microdermabrasion treatment on a nice looking
man with blonde hair and blonde eyebrows. He inquired as
to what other services my studio provided. I rattled off
my usual list including permanent cosmetics, hoping he had
a girlfriend/sister/mother who might be interested in this
"feminine" service. To my surprise he asked me
if I could tattoo on HIS eyebrows as he was using "Just
for Men" to darken them say no more, we did,
and he LOVES them.
It then occurred to me that I may have a world of endless
new possibilities with my shiny new tattoo gun. I grabbed
a client with a thinning crown area and 45 minutes later,
voila, we had filled in his sparse area with 4 different
pigments and a series of tattoo strokes. Did I mention he
wears his hair 1/4 inch long in a military cut?
This was getting exciting. A few days later I convinced
another client to allow me to camouflage his surgical scar.
He had undergone hair transplants a year prior and was very
self-conscious about his 8 inch long by 1 inch wide scar
of pale skin that contrasted strongly with his black hair
and what it looked like when his hair blew in the wind or
got pushed up with a hat. After explaining to him what hair
strokes are and showing him my portfolio of before and after
photos, he too grew very excited about having paramedical
dermagraphic hairstrokes. I achieved exactly what he was
looking for. He now could wear his hair as short as he wanted
because there were HAIRstrokes covering what was once an
unsightly scar. Imagine the thrill of your clients when
you can do THAT!
I work in conjunction with plastic surgeons and hair transplant
doctors in my area to assist their patients in a natural
looking head of hair. As I was reminded at a hair show that
I went to recently, "keep your parachute open.
Had that one client not asked for his eyebrows to be darkened
permanently, I might never have thought to create this phenomenal
new procedure that has changed the lives of many hair replacement
and hair transplantation clients. Don't miss this opportunity
to add this exciting revolutionary procedure to your menu
of services offered at your salon. If you have any questions
